Unworthy Yudhie is 21

Today is my birthday. 21 years ago, it was a miserable day for my family, the time when a premature and burdensome baby was born into this earth bringing so much toil and sorrow to those around him, to his Mom and sister and also to everybody around him. But he's born and by God's mercy, he's persevered, and that baby is me.

There are so many stories, of which some are sorrowful and even I forgot, but I am very surprised that I am still alive until now, since I supposed I am not. I am aware that I am but dust and ashes, mean nothing. And here am I, still with my nothingness crawl through the misery of this fallen world.

It is His merciful hands Which preserve and give me strength, lead me through in every moment although I am not worthy. In each smile and laughter, in every tear and loneliness. Even until now, when the world deserted me and sway me from one place to another, but I trust Him, my Creator. He has breathed life into me. Lord, if it is according to your will, take me O Lord from this world, but I am very unworthy and fear to stand before Thee because of my many sins. But Lord, let Thy will be done so that I'll not sin even more.

I am nothing. Lord, have mercy!

  1. Congratulations on your birthday. I wish now that I had sent that box of gifts for you, but not until the coming weekend. Well, hopefully it will arrive by Christmas, either a very late birthday present, or maybe a timely Christmas present. God have mercy on me, the unworthy and neglectful Romanos.

  2. Thanks very much, brother Romanos. I am very glad and filled with tears of joy whenever I remember you. Because God has kept me and made me known to you and brother Brock and those around you, what a blessing to know you and learn so many things about life and Christ in your witnessing.

Thanks very much for your every gift and precious help so far and thanks in advance for the box!!

Brother Romanos, I am very thankful but also sorry because I don't know how to thank you and give something back to you...

Be mindful O Lord for Thy beloved Romanos, remember his goodness and love for me the unworthy one.

    Thanks brother Romanos

  3. There are two economies in this world. Worldly economy and divine economy.

World economy is what we are born into. Everything must be balanced and accounts kept, person to person. Even when we receive a gift, we feel we must repay the giver. A gift is a gift, yet we consider it a loan.

Divine economy is what Christ calls us to. There are no counters or weighers. Accounts are not kept, because everything is gift, and gift unites giver and receiver into each other. "How shall I say where I end, and where you begin?"

Economy > Greek, ikonomía > ikos = house, nomos = law.

Worldly economy, the law of the house of the world, is eye for eye, tooth for tooth, gift for gift, theft for theft. Mine is mine, and thine is thine, and mine is thine only if thine is mine.

Divine economy, the law of the house of God, is the surge of God's one loving act in giving us His Son to be our Savior and Benefactor, and that one loving act surges through us, generation after generation, as a flood of free gifts, we give because we have received, but it matters not to whom we give.

How can you repay a friend's generosity? Be generous to others, even to that same friend, but not only to him.

How can you repay a mother's gift of life? In your turn, take a woman and father children for her, and love them.

How can you repay the Savior's gift of eternal life? Offer the same eternal life to everyone around you, by letting yourself be like holy bread to them, that they may feed on you without you being consumed, let your life also be given "for the life of the world." Let your life be poured out for them, as Jesus' blood was poured out for you.

The world's economy must not infect your thinking, for that economy is death to the world that follows it.

God's economy is the plan of salvation, leading those who follow it to eternal life.

"Whoever believes in Me shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Brother Yudhie, you are God's gift to me, your broken brother Romanos.
