Beautifully told

yesterday, after doing some matters in the library, I was very atonished by the sermon from Fr. Jonah about Orthodoxy in America. He told beautifully about how we should open the church door for every one. We not necesarily to be so isolated and keep the most precious treasure from our holy fathers in the box and just look at it. Instead, it is our previledge to share the gospel of Christ to those who have not heard about Christ, who have not yet understood about the Orthodox church and invite whoever who wants.

And then I also reflect on the Ancient Faith Radio podcast and heard an anonymous story told there in the podcast and here is the story:

An elder told his disciple to go to the cemetery and throw stones at the tombs of the dead people and when he came back the elder asked: "What happened?""Nothing." - said the disciple. "Ok. Now go there again and praise them and tell them the best words you can."When the disciple came back the elder asked him again:"What happened?""Nothing." - responded the disciple again. "Learn from the example of the dead in the tombs and do not be affected by insults, or praise." said the elder. (http://www.monachos.net/)

what a story. Praise be to God!
