Great it is the Love!

This morning, as I spared my time to read spiritual work, God allowed me to read the life of St. Elizabeth the New Martyr. This is really shaking me because indeed, how great is the mystery of the Christians' love to the Lord. This is so strong beyond measure. Christ Himself in his Humility, has sown such great and immense love and by his death and resurrection He has drawn many people to Himself. How great and merciful Thou art O God, that Thou hast maketh me Thine own together with Thy beloved ones. Glory to Thee O God, Glory to Thee.

I am reminded again by her saying cited the saying of divine Theologian, " "If you do not love the brother whom you see, how will you be able to love God whom you do not see?"'
Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner. Thou, by Thy Mercy and Providence hast taken me to be among so many brothers and sisters around me, I see them O Lord, but have I really loved them as what Thou commended and even more, with the love Thou Thyself bestows upon me, Thy unworthy servant?

Lord, I praise Thee that Thou hast shown me the great courage, humility and pure love of Thy holy servant St. Elizabeth the New Martyr, have mercy on us O Lord, have mercy on us! Grant me (us) Thy Grace and mercy so that Thou might dwell in me (us) and cleanse me from every stain that we might Glorify Thy Holy Name.

Troparion, Tone 2

In that meekness, humility, and love, which made their abode in thy soul, thou didst diligently minister to the suffering, O holy Passion-bearer Princess Elisabeth; and with faith didst endure suffering and death for Christ with the Martyr Barbara. With her do thou pray for all that honour thee with love!

Through the prayer of Thy Holy Mother and of our Holy Fathers and all the Saints; Saint Elizabeth the New Martyr, O Lord have mercy on us and save us.

Lord Jesus, The Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner!
