'never quit attitude': perseverance

As a math student, I was sometimes finding so much challenges and even the feeling of get stuck at some point. Besides, somehow it is very difficult to understand and master certain concept easily, smoothly doing homeworks or getting great grades in the exams (it sounds hedonistic, right?!). Rather, it is sometime tricking me and I don't know where to go.

(I Gotta probability class right now, hope to contunue later!)

  1. Math is very tricky. When I was a college student, I loved math (and I still do), but I had great difficulty learning it in the class room. I was also lazy and would rather do other things than my studies and homework. Tragic! I was only 17 when I started college, and I was finished at the age of 21, but I learned relatively little.

What I discovered is, mathematics, like the bible, has to be absorbed sometimes slowly, and just by repetition, patiently going over and over the same things until you learn it. This requires a lifetime. Unfortunately, a student must learn everything too quickly, and so often forgets it.

It is life that will really teach you math, just as it teaches you the truth about yourself, and about your God.

  3. Absolutely, Romanos! I feel this course is just too fast and thus somehow, often I 'pretend' that I have understood the concept even I have not yet... And the result is finding lots of challenges (i.e. difficulties) in the 20 homework problems/week.
